Dashed to Hell

Had plans for this weekend. To be a domestic sewing goddess. Finish the drapes that have been puddled on the floor of my bedroom for weeks. But alas, the flu decided it would not be so. Being holed up in my bedroom, between achy and feverish to coughing fits was all I could accomplish. And am loosing my voice on top of it.

This evening I recovered enough to do a bit of mathy math for my neglected quilt. I decided it would probably take less time to do it this way that to free form it. Especially as I can make progress when my physical energies are rather low.

Amplitude Quilt Pattern
It took me a minute to remember enough trig work out the equation. Kept screwing up the nomenclature too. An oh my am I terrible at using a calculator for order of operations these days. 10+ years of MS Excel use will spoil a girl for hand computations. As if a basic calculator is my hand. My grandfather would weep.

So the quilt will have 2 20" wide sine waves, separated by 20" of white ground. The waves will graduate in color throughout the sequence, repeating at 360 deg. Color might as well be a calculation.

Such a simple math design really. But I am reveling in my geekiness.
