Space Dress done!
Space dress done! And worn! With nerd points won!
The lecture was great, and we got to get a picture taken with Neil Degrasse Tyson! Squee! Such an amazing guy.
Zee dress, zee dress.
I cut the neckline down to make it a bit more flattering. It rode up on the far side, and was very high. Felt too constrained for something worn in a modern context. On the flip side I wanted to wear it to work, so I wanted coverage. Also ended taking in the to by about 2 inches. I definately needed the room in the hip, but in the bodice it was just saggy. And a bit of sparkle on the far shoulder, which you can't really make out in this picture.
It is amazing how differently the silk charmeuse hangs from the muslin I made. Love how it turned out.
